God has not forgot about you

  • Hits: 395

Sometimes we strive so much for approval of men. The result is, we retire or withdraw when men fail to reward our expectations. Men may easily and quickly forget whatever good you have done for them. Some even return the good you do to them with betrayal and back-slashing. Simply put, men have a potential of forgetfulness and ungratefulness. You may be retiring or withdrawing because of a reaction by a loved one, a trusted friend or a fellow Christian. You may have concluded that such is life – you give good and receive evil in return. Well, before you do that can you please take a pause and read this phrase? That is: “God is not a man.”

Friend, do not put a period to your life pages because the whole world seems to be against you. In Hebrews 12:2 the bible calls Jesus “The Author and Finisher of our Faith.” Why finish the pages if the Author is still writing? Don’t close your chapters yet. God is always able to open new chapter in your life. He is able to help you continue the incomplete chapters in your life. He is able to clean up the dirty chapters in your life. He is able to repair the distorted chapters in your life. He is not calling you to drain you, but to bless and fulfill you.

Surely, the bible says “He is a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” Hebrews 11:6. Never stop seeking and serving God. Because in due time He will reward your diligence. When everyone has left you, He will show up! When everyone has forgotten about you, He will remember you! When everyone has let you down, He will lift you up! When everyone is rejecting you, He will embrace you! When everyone is condemning you, He will cleanse you and save you! When everyone tries to strip you of your possessions, He will reward your diligence! He says is Matthew 11:28 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

God has not called us to diminish us; He has not called us to disappoint us; He has not called us to take advantage of us; In fact, He has not brought us this far to destroy us. When the people of Israel got to the red sea, they thought Moses had brought them that far to leave them to perish; only to turn around to witness their enemies perish in the very sea that they walked through. Look, when all hope is gone – in the valley of the shadow of death – His rod and staff will be available for our comfort.

He told Joshua, “only be strong and courageous”. If you know you are living for God, then I say to you also ‘Be Strong and Courageous’. Don’t be discouraged by what you see, or what you hear, or the experiences you go through. If you stand strong and courageous, in due season you will eat the good of the land. Don’t quit; don’t stop living; Have faith; Have hope; seek God; He is still at work.
